Indanan South District known as the mother district in Indanan Municipality where the first governance was established under the sovereignty of Sultan Abubakar, the first sultan of Sulu. That is why many datu are known in this municipality.At present times it is consist of 14 Elementary School under the supervision of Samoore S. Ladjahali - District supervisor.
